There are plenty of great hotels in Nashville, so it can be hard to sort through them all to figure out where exactly they are and if they're really located where you want to be.
No need to hunt. Here are 14 hotels located right in the heart of downtown Nashville, all located within a 10 block radius —on the west side of the Cumberland River and within walking distance of some of Nashville's Downtown District. This region includes the Ryman Auditorium, the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, the Tennessee State Museum, the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, Bridgestone Arena, the Country Music Hall of Fame, Printer's Alley, the State Capitol, the Riverfront Park and of course, Lower Broadway and its Honky-Tonks. If you want to stay close to these popular tourist sites, these hotels are for you.
The Hermitage Hotel

Stay here if you need to be in the middle of the downtown Nashville's music, fun, and action.

Hotel Indigo offers two locations in Nashville. In addition to its Music Row location, it also has a hotel in the heart of downtown, only two blocks from the Entertainment District. Nashville's newer boutique hotel is located in the historic American Trust and Nashville Trust buildings.

4. Nashville Hilton

The Nashville Hilton is located directly across from the Country Music Hall of Fame, with a three-acre park separating the two. The Schermerhorn Symphony Center and Bridgestone Arena are also located to its left and right side. It is within a block or two of the downtown entertainment district, the Convention Center and the Ryman Auditorium. This hotel is the only all-luxury-suites option among the downtown Nashville hotels. It's rated AAA 4-diamond.

5. The Renaissance Hotel

The AAA 4-diamond Renaissance Hotel is physically connected to the Nashville Convention Center and offers 673 rooms. It is within a short walking distance from the Bridgestone Arena, Tennessee Performing Arts Center, the Ryman Auditorium and the lower broad, honky-tonks and entertainment district. The hotel also offers 20-plus suites, 50-plus private access club floor rooms, a full-service restaurant; a deli, two lounges and plenty of parking.

6.Fairfield Inn & Suites - The Gulch
Stay here if you want to experience a newer property.
Located in the heart of the Gulch, this eight-story Fairfield Inn & Suites is a block or so away from the Frist Center of Visual Arts and just five blocks to Lower Broadway, The Ryman and the Country Music Hall of Fame. The inn offers 126 rooms with 31 of them suites, plus an open-air rooftop lounge. A few of the amenities include complimentary breakfast and free wifi.

7.Downtown Nashville Sheraton

The AAA 4-diamond Sheratonis situated across the street from the Tennessee State Capitol Building and the Nashville Public Library. The 28-storycircular-style hotel offers 474 guest rooms, as well as plenty of stunning views of Nashville. As one of Nashville's first modern hotels, it has been known in the past as the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza & the Hyatt Regency. Today it still boasts its original revolving restaurant perched on the top floor, which is open for special functions.

8.Union Station Hotel

Union Station Hotel, located on upper Broadway, was Nashville's former rail station. It is more than 100 years old and has been restored into an elegant hotel that offers 125 rooms. Some of its architectural features include a massive a 65-foot barrel vaulted ceiling of Tiffany Stained Glass along with some rare base relief sculptures and gold leaf mirrors.
It's Romanesque influence, architectural value and old world design sets this hotel into a class all of its own. It is less than one block to the Frist Center of Visual Arts, the Gulch and five blocks from Lower Broadway, The Ryman and the Country Music Hall of Fame.

9.Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville Downtown
A great place for a family stay.
The Hampton Inn is located on Fourth Avenue just a block off of the Gateway Bridge in one the newest renovated areas of Downtown Nashville, the So-Bro. It's only a few blocks from Country Music Hall of Fame and the Downtown District. This Hampton Inn has 207 rooms and some of the offerings includerefrigerators, microwaves, free internet access and an indoor pool. All guests receive a complimentary hot breakfast every day, as well as beverages in the dining lobby area.

10.Marriott Courtyard

The Marriott Courtyard features 192 rooms and is located in the century-old high-rise and former Third National Bank Building, circa 1905. It has maintained its architectural and historical feel with its rich mahogany, along with a few other historical touches, such as its lobby fireplaces, iron gates, and frosted windows.
It is a short walk of fewer than three blocks to Printer's Alley and the Lower-Broadway Area. The Courtyard offers free high-speed internet and is well known for its hearty and affordable breakfast buffet.

The Doubletree Hotel offers 338 guest rooms and is located at the corner of Fourth and Deaderick streets, less than two blocks from Printers Alley, the Tennessee Performing Arts Center and the State Capitol. A great place to go if you're planning an extended stay.
Homewood Suites is located at Eighth and Church streets, only a few blocks from Printers Alley, the Tennessee Performing Arts Center and the State Capitol. It is an all-suite hotel that can also cater to the needs of the extended-stay guests. The suites offer a full-size refrigerator and microwave, as well as the normal amenities like high-speed internet and coffee makers, too. Guests also receive a complimentary hot breakfast every day.

13.Holiday Inn Express

The Holiday Inn Express features 273 spacious guest rooms and an additional 14 suites. It overlooks the Frist Center of the Visual Arts and is nine blocks from the riverfront and only four blocks from Lower-broad, the Ryman and Bridgestone Arena. It offers free internet in all rooms, wifi in all public spaces and meeting room and continental breakfast.

14.Best Western Downtown Convention Center
Go here for the lower price and freebies.
The Best Western Downtown Convention Center sits on the former site of President James K. Polk's home and has 100 rooms. While dated, this hotel offers a few typically long-since gone amenities, such as free local calls, newspapers, and breakfast, as well as a price well below other nearby accommodations. It is located a few blocks from the Convention Center, the Bridgestone Arena, and the Ryman.

Just Across the Cumberland River
There are three notable hotels located across the Cumberland River and near the Titan's football stadium. While you can walk to the downtown Nashville district from any of these hotels, it can be a bit of a jaunt.
1. Clarion Downtown Nashville
Go here if you're a seasoned budget traveler.
Clarion Downtown Nashville (formally Hotel Premier & Days Inn) offers 180 rooms and easy parking. This hotel was once known as the famous King of the Road Hotel and was built by Roger Miller. This hotel is a bit dated but has gone through several renovations.

Go here as your last resort.
The Knights Inn is located in an industrial area farthest from the LP Field. While it's nothing special and not necessarily recommended, it is a low-budget option if the better offerings are unavailable.
