Brother-in-Law Of Kokomo Man Dies of Injuries Nelson B. McLain, of Kalama200, brother-in-law of Ben Souder, Kokomo R. R. 6, died in the San Mountain Hospital 'at Sunday of injuries received in an automobile crash that city week earlier. McLain, a sister of Mr.
is still in a serious condition and will be unable to attend the funeral of her husband which will be held Wednesday at 1 at the Truesdell Funeral Home in Kalamazoo. The McLains were home from Florida when they were involved in an accident with a man who was driving under the influence of' intoxicating Liquor. The drinking driver was killed. Mr. McLain, who was 72, one of the early employes of the Apperson Bros.
Automobile' Company here. For a number of years he was the final 1 inspector of the cars turned out by the company. In later years he was an official of the company. At the time the family moved from Kokomo, their home was at 1401 W. Sycamore St.
About 25 years ago, Mr. McLain went to Kalamazoo where he was connected with the automobile industry and later owned a locker plant. He retired from ac-' tive business a few years ago. He was born in Fort Wayne, the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Charles McLain, who also became residents here. Surviving with the widow, who, was Miss Fern Souder before their marriage here in June 1909, are three children, Mrs. George Jackman of Sturgis, Mrs. Richard Modderman, Houston, and Nelson B. McLain Kalamazoo.
An aunt, Miss Minne Bruner, well known to many in this city, lives in Kalamazoo. The daughters are at the bedside of their mother in Alabama. 'Shakespearian Series at 1U Center Continues IU Center's Shakespearean series will continue at 8 p.m. Wednesday when Dr. Ray L. Heffner English instructor on IU's Bloomington campus, will discuss "Imagery. in Shakespeare." Dr.
Heffner will be the third speaker in the program being fered here this month. The lecture will be given at the center. The speaker is in his third year on the IU faculty. He received his! various degrees from Yale University where he completed work for his doctrate in 1953. Before joining the IU.faculty, he taught for one year at the University of Kentucky.
